Man Charged Twice With Drink-driving

A driver was arrested by Nowra police yesterday and charged twice within two hours for driving with an excessive blood-alcohol level.
Police said that at 12.15am the driver, 36, was stopped by a random breath test (RBT) team in Osborne St, Nowra.
A check allegedly showed the motorist had .22 blood-alcohol content and he was charged with the high-range offence. He was allowed bail and left the police station.
At 2.05am police saw the man driving along Osborne St and pulled him over again. He was given another RBT.
Police, who alleged the man had a .195 blood-alcohol content, charged him a second time with a high-range offence. The man will appear in Nowra Local Court on May 18.
